RM 286.85 for my new hobby

I finally have a new hobby. It all started when I shopped at IKANO few months ago. I saw this very unique aquarium. After thinking for almost a month, I finally went to buy it last weekend.

Yeah...my fish, my new hobby..

I bought 4 tropical fish and 2 banana shrimps

Photo
the banana shrimps which also called as DBKL as they eat whatever that they can grab...hehe

Now I’m member of The Pet Safari. = P

Beside the fish and shrimps, I also need to buy all this maintenance stuff. (From left : Black Water to adjust the water pH, Water Conditioner to remove chlorine and Salt for Stress Reliever

This is what my fish eat everyday..

Now I need to feed the fish twice a day and changed the water monthly. Dunno how long I can keep this hobby. Hehe.

Any fish expert out there? Any advice for me as I’m still a beginner. ^_^

  • that is a nice aquarium. i used to have a few aquariums at home (though not as unique as yours) :). tropical fish are easier to take care compare to gold fish. but must change water regularly, else the fish will get sick easily.

My brother is an expert infish... both as hobby as well as eating them.. haha..
Btw, I saw one special aqua techonology in South City Plaza. It claims that you do not need to change the water nor feed the fish.. according to them, there are micros that eats the shit and the fish eat them in return. or something like that.. making the aquarium a perfect ecosystem.

  • You should have bought a bigger tank. Change no more than 20 percent volume of water per week. And er...unless you want your fishies to look like pale zombies, I wouldn't advice you to look for cheap food. Tetrabits are good but there are many "pirate" tetrabits in town. The original ones actually smell quite good. Once in a while, treat your fishies to blood worms. Have fun!
