I was missing for last 2 weeks...where have I been to?
SARAWAK !! Yeah…I was back to my hometown to celebrate by dad’s birthday. Together with me is Jimmy (my younger brother) and Christine. This was Christine first trip to Sarawak...most of the post will be about she and her first trip to Sarawak.
April 15 : 6.17AM at LCCT waiting for departure...(me and christine)
(Christine and Jimmy). We have to walk all the way just to get on the plane !!!
See the mark, you have to walk following the mark, if not you will have PLANE Accident...hehe
Me and Jimmy waiting for the Air Asia “food selling session” wtf...
April 15 : 8.13AM Some where in middle of the sea
Up up up….now everyone can fly !!
April 15 : 9.02AM at Arrived at Borneo Island..
See the river? This one should be well-known Rejang river
Finally arrived at Kuching Airport. So my brother James bring us for breakfast as we all were damn hungry due to AirAsia doesn’t provide free breakfast
Inside kopitiam. Most of the ppl speak foochow and Christine dunno foochow..hehe
This is a very well-known Sarawak Kolok Mee. Much much more better than KL wantan mee.. = p yummy..
Sarawak Laksa…anyone try before? It’s different than KL laksa as it use different ingredient to make the laksa soup. Don’t ask me what are the ingredient, I dunno...I don’t sell laksa !!!
After we all fill up our stomach, we need to continue our journey. Our journey doesn’t end here as we need to drive to Sarikei (take roughly 4-5 hours from Kuching)
la la la la...on the way home...so happy…
oh shit !! Ada polis...got speed track or not..wtf..
Then we stop half way to rest and go to “let go”. Guess what, my brother bought a keropok ayam….Wah…what a memories…it’s our favourite snack 2 decades ago..Can’t find in KL..
If anyone see this keropok selling at KL..pls pls let me know.. ^_^
April 15 : 3.45PM Reach Sarikei !!
Look familiar ? Anyone from Sarikei sure recognize this view...Mean we had reach our little Sarikei
Yeah…I’m finally back to Sarikei !! That night we went out for “SARIKEI FAMOUS FOOD”...Will post about it in my next post….So for those who are from Sarikei/Sarawak...Don’t forget to come back here to see yummy yummy food photo…^_^

dragon,
cos the kolok mee is very very very oily..
kolok mee taste different from kam puah..
kam puah is much nicer :D
last time when I was working (doing or assisting surgery) inside the operation theatre in Sarawak General Hospital, we have colleagues to "ta pao" food for us for lunch, since we can't left the theatre to have our meals outside.. and they like to tapao kolok mee.. Very sien.. I guess the last time I ate kolok mee is during those days when I was working in SGH. Hahha, come to think about it, I haven't eat kolok mee for 7 or 8 years already :D
By Chen, at 4:30 PM
there is different between kam puah and kolok mee.
kolok mee have more meats or things put inside. kam puah don't have much. but kam puah's mee is nice.
that's what my friend told me.
