Le Français French Dining - Thumb Up

French dining? Me? No no. Its doesn’t sound like me because I’m a very typical Chinese guy come from an average family. I count every cent I spent. Ya..ya..but I’m not that “kiam siap” la. Well, I really do go to French dining at Le Francais with Christine during our anniversary just to show how much I care and love her. Although the price is “HUH” but it’s really worth it. The food and service are excellent.

Well, let’s talk about this place. It was located at Bangsar’s new colony of trendy dining spots in One Bangsar. The restaurant was fully air-conditioned. It separate all the dining table using maroon velvet curtains, which make us felt more privacy. Starched white-and-burgundy tablecloths are paired with modern, cream-colored chairs on natural timber flooring. The seating capacity should be around 40.

Dinner started off with …. Aiks…I forget what we order for starter liaw. But there are some sort of bread rolls with butter. Then we order Cream of Garlic soup. The soup is smooth and creamy. Nice.

For the main course, Christine ordered the Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Sauce. It’s came with tender green asparagus and pearl-shaped vegetables. For myself, I ordered Salmon Fillet with orange-butter sauce and candied tomatoes (skinless and lightly sweetened), rocket, and red cabbage. Both are just too delicious.

As dessert, Christine ordered for Lemon Tartlet and Chocolate Fondant for me. If you like sour taste, you should go for the Lemon Tarlet. But it just too sour for me. I don’t like it. I prefer the Chocolate Fondant as it is delightful (soft and sweet).

And we opened a 2001 Michelle Merlot from France. It’s nice and matches the dishes.
Sorry, I forget to take the photo for the main dishes because I was too excited and enjoying the food and environment.

  • alvin_g ; Well, the drink that look so plain is of course plain water la. The merlot is the red color one la. Huh..

Ayou ; It cost me around RM300++ including the red wine. So if deducted the wine, it will be RM200++ for full course (starter, soup, steak and dessert) for 2 person. Really a highly recommended place for dining if you want to have a romantic dinner with your love one.
